Working in the crisis and pediatric nurseries, Childcare Providers are assigned up to 5 children, 0-12 years of age, each shift. Each Childcare Provider is primarily responsible for all aspects of the children's care, including providing developmentally-appropriate educational enrichment activities and bathing/toileting/hygiene needs. Care is provided in a trauma-informed way and there is a focus on positive behavior management. Each shift also works as a team to complete additional household duties as assigned.
 

Providence House is a drug-free workplace, and all applicants are required to complete a criminal background screening and a 5-panel drug screening prior to starting employment. 

Additionally, all employees and volunteers are mandated reporters. 

Qualifications:

· 21 years of age or older; High school diploma or GED equivalent required

· One to two years of direct paid childcare experience at a minimum

· Able to accommodate evening, weekend and holiday work schedules

· Good verbal and written communication skills

· Valid State of Ohio driver’s license or State Identification

· CPR/First Aid certifications a plus
 

 

Shift Hours

Must be able to accommodate weekend and holiday work schedules as needed. We have multiple shifts available:

Hours:  Friday - Sunday, 6:45pm - 7:00am. ( 2 openings)

$1.00 night differential

The starting rate of pay is $15 per hour commensurate with experience. Part-time team members receive paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay to help promote a healthy work-life balance.
